Astagalus Root.png

Astragalus Root functions as an adaptogen, helping the body respond to stress, modulate the immune system and increase the production of white blood cells.  Astragalus is also a potent antioxidant and can help eliminate toxins from the body.

Reishi Mushrooms are one of the best sources on Earth of a class of soluble fiber known as Beta Glucans, which can stimulate several different classes of immune cells’ ability to combat both external and internal threats.  Beta glucans can also improve heart health, reduce bad cholesterol, and improve blood-sugar regulation.

Spirulina is an ocean-based superfood.  Extracted and refined from blue-green algae, Spirulina is a mini-supermarket of nutrients, including a wide range of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and Omega 3 (EPA) essential fatty acids.  Chlorophyll within Spirulina also helps detoxify the body.

Curcumin, the bioactive component extracted from turmeric, is an

extremely potent anti-inflammatory that can help decrease joint

pain and increase mobility.  Circumin’s highly concentrated

antioxidants can neutralize free radicals that lead to cellular

damage and dangerous mutations.

Dogs are highly sophisticated, naturally intelligent animals and circumin can also help counteract aging-related declines in brain function.

Taurine grid circle.png

Taurine is extremely important for aging dogs (and humans), because the amount of Taurine that animals produce internally declines every year with age.  Humans can reverse this (and other aspects of the aging process, while improving working intelligence and physical fitness) with Vegan Brain Food, while the dosages in More Dog Days are tailored for... (you'll never guess...) dogs!

Taurine is an amino acid that comprises a major part of the tissue of the brain, heart, eyes, reproductive organs and white blood cells of the immune system.   A recent peer-reviewed study in the European Journal of Immunology labelled  Taurine an “an energy drink for T cells" that play a specialized role in combatting viruses and killing cancer cells.

Goji Berries support healthy kidney and liver function, helping those organs to fulfill their role removing toxins from the body.  The antioxidants beta-carotene and zeaxanthin in goji berries may also benefit canine eye health, protecting against age-related degeneration of eyesight.

Ginger-modified.png

Ginger RootAs is the case in humans, Ginger Root can help stimulate dogs’ immune systems.  Ginger can also help reduce nausea and bring pain relief, and improve blood circulation which can aid in senior dogs’ dealing with arthritis or pre-arthritis.

SynbioticsA healthy digestive system is a cornerstone to overall health, and the combination or prebiotics and probiotics (synbiotics) in effect “fertilizes” a healthy gut microbiome, which can improve nutrient absorption, immune function, healthy weight management, oral health/breath, and even potentially reduce stress thru its connections to the central nervous system’s “gut-brain axis”.

Nutritional Yeast is extremely rich in B-vitamins, which are important for energy metabolism, nerve function, and the formation of red blood cells.

Vitamin D plays a crucial role in calcium absorption and bone mineralization, contributing to the development of strong and healthy bones.  Vitamin D3 regulates calcium levels, cellular growth and differentiation, preventing heart disease, skin and coat.

Zinc w ring.png

Zinc is essential mineral for a properly functioning immune system.  Zinc also helps stimulate wound healing and tissue repair (as does Circumin, also included in More Dog days) and contributes to healthy skin and fur for our fur babies.

Our Story

Ever since I fell in love with my baby boy Lubu (on the day we adopted him), I've wanted to keep him by my side furever.

Then when he got his first scary-looking lumps removed around the age of 5 (turned out to be harmless), and then later had to have double knee surgery for torn ligaments, I became obsessed with doing everything doggedly possible to keep my son healthy, and give him the long, beautiful life that he deserves.

Thanks to a team of veterinarians and animal nutrition scientists, we now have a recipe that helps keep my son still running around like a puppy at the age of 10, and it's time other lucky dogs enjoy these same life-giving nutrients that grew out of the Earth (More Dog Days is 100% plant-based/vegan).

But how could we put so much time and energy into improving the lives of already-lucky first world dogs, while ignoring the plight of the equally beautiful souls living and dying in some of the worst conditions on Earth?  And that's how our dog rescue mission was born...

Dog Rescue Mission

Lubu Laurie combined.jpeg

While this supplement is designed to improve the lives of the dogs lucky enough to get it in their bowl, our mission as a company/movement is:

To save the lives of dogs destined for the meat industry, dogs who are homeless and suffering in the streets, dogs who are on the euthanasia list in overcrowded shelters, & dogs being exploited for cruel and unnecessary animal experiments.

20% Of profits from More Dog Days will go towards rescue organizations working to find furever homes for orphaned pups and to permanently shut down the dog meat industry.
